I’ve previously thrown some love at PS I Love You, and I’m all too happy to do so again.  These guys just hit all my sweet spots.  “2012” is the first single from the band’s debut full-length, Meet Me At The Muster Station – a welcome addition to the shortlist of albums I am hotly anticipating in the final third of 2010. The duo, singer/guitarist Paul Saulnier and drummer Ben Nelson, excel at the whole making-two-guys-sound-like-more-than-two thing.  Most importantly, Mr. Saulnier – blessed with the voice/compositional dexterity of Spencer Krug and the guitar heroism of J. Mascis – never fails to intrigue.  To be blunt, “2012” is the kind of jam I wish Wolf Parade would churn out more often.

Me Meet At The Muster Station is due 10/5 on Paperbag.
